How it works
A shower head with the filter inside it. Here is what that changes, and what it doesn't.
What it filters
Chlorine, rust, sediment and sand — caught in the last few centimetres before the water reaches you. Tap water is chlorinated to stay safe on the way to your home, and plenty of people notice their hair and skin feel different once it is filtered out.
What it doesn't
It does not remove the dissolved calcium and magnesium that make water technically hard. No shower filter does — that takes a whole-house softener. We would rather say so than let you expect the wrong thing.
Four spray modes
| Rain | Wide and even, for everyday washing. |
| Massage | Pulsing jets, for shoulders and neck. |
| Jet | One concentrated stream, for rinsing out conditioner. |
| Mixed | Rain and massage together. |
Turn the collar to switch. The mode stays where you left it.
Good to know
| Pressure | The nozzle plate narrows the openings, so the spray keeps feeling firm rather than soft and wide. If it weakens over time, check the cartridge. |
| Pause button | Stops the flow without touching the mixer tap, so the temperature is unchanged when you start again. A pause, not a shut-off valve. |
| Fitting | Unscrew the old head, check the washer is seated, screw FILDUO on by hand. About a minute, no tools. |
| Cartridge | Roughly six months, sooner in hard water. Packs of three, no subscription. Look at the first one before you throw it away. |
